This is the first creative task we have asked the girls to take part in…to produce something made of origami and to attach a description of something they hope to or aspire to be in the future….It will stay as a permanent feature in our college studio!

SUP Artist Residency Programme 2011
The S.U.P/S.A.R.C.W residency program- was designed as a cutting edge experiential insight, to communicate the value of visual language and collaboration through arts practice in international communities.
For a period of five months, SUP will support two female artists at the Sultana Abdhulah Rowther College for Women, in the Muslim community of Melapanangattangudi in Tamil Nadu, India. Artists will engage in the research of their art practice to develop a body of new work for exhibition, both in India and the UK. Artists are also responsible for supervising arts educational workshops for the students at the college within the provincial community.
